What is a Goldendoodle?

Goldendoodles are a wonderful cross of Golden Retrievers and Poodles, gaining all the positive attributes of each breed as well as the additional benefit of what's called Hybrid Vigour. This refers to the fact that the first cross between two unrelated purebred lines is healthier and grows better than either parent line. All pure bred dogs began as hybrid dogs that creative people combined for desirable traits.

Golden Retrievers, with their kindly expressions, contribute a friendly, reliable personality as well as beauty, to the goldendoodles. They are eager, alert and self-confident. Poodles contribute friendliness, intelligence, non-shedding curls and hypo-allergenic traits to the goldendoodles. Both parent lines are water fowl retrievers and love the water and are easily trained. This cross is called the F-1 generation which maximizes genetic diversity for better health.

Our Dogs

Sutter- Our stud is a cream-colored Standard Poodle named Sutter. He has an amazingly jolly personality! My daughter loves playing ball with him and we all laugh at his cute gait that looks like a prancing pony. He is a delight! He is 60 pounds.

Cinnamon- Cinnamon is a dear, sweet dog with a beautiful dark red coat and a gentle disposition. She weighs 74 pounds. Cinnamon's puppies will weigh aproximately 60-75 pounds when full grown.

Honey- Honey is a golden apricot color. She is dainty beauty that's very playful and fun. She weighs 54 pounds. She is 20 pounds smaller than Cinnamon so her puppies will be smaller than Cinnamon's when full grown, aproximately 55-60 pounds.

Daisy- Daisy is another of our very friendly dogs. We say she purs like a cat when we pet her. She has more of a blocky build and has nearly the same honey-golden/apricot coloring as Honey. Daisy loves to play in water anytime of the year. She weighs 68 pounds. Her puppies will weigh aproximately 60-70 pounds when full grown.

All the puppies are beautiful and will be F-1 Standard Goldendoodles. Below are photos of our parent dogs.
